You can walk wade on smaller meadow streams like the Alder, Ruby and Boulder. Guests also enjoy private spring fed creeks and ponds. Many streams flow through beautiful private ranches to which the lodge has exclusive access.

Lodging:

Healing Waters is a magnificent lodge nestled in a grove of cottonwood trees, surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking a large trout stocked pond that completes the peaceful setting.

Healing Waters lodge accommodates a maximum of 18 guests in 9 well appointed rooms. Set on 20 acres with great vistas of the high peaks of the Beaverhead national forest and the Tobacco Root Mountains, located between Twin Bridges and Sheridan, Montana.

The lodge has all the amenities you would expect from an upscale operation.

Each of the lodge's ample and comfortable rooms has two queen beds, down comforters and pillows. With sitting areas, a private deck and patio, private baths and wonderful mountain views.

Gourmet dining based on fresh local produce, will complete the recipe for a memorable Montana angling vacation.

Rooms:

Nine guest rooms are as clean and comfortable as they are unique. Rod holders and wader hooks keep your gear handy and outdoor table and chairs invite conversation and relaxation. Each room has a view to be enjoyed.

  • Rookery: Large second floor guest room in the original lodge building. Two queen-sized beds, private tub, walk-in shower, and toilet, dry sauna, and balcony.

  • Heritage: Ground floor, pond side room with covered patio, one king-sized bed and private bathroom.

  • Lilly: This room is named after Greg and Janet Lilly and reflects some of their personal interests. Ground floor, pond side room with covered patio, two queen-sized beds and private bathroom.

  • Granny Yates: This room is named after Greg Lilly’s pioneer Grandmother. Ground floor, pond side room with a patio, two queen-sized beds and private bathroom.

  • Henry Plummer: This room is named after Sheriff Henry Plummer Ground floor, valley view of the Ruby Mountain range with covered patio, two queen-sized beds, private bathroom.

  • Franz Pott: Second floor above Henry Plummer, valley view of the Ruby Mountain Range with a large deck, two queen-sized beds, private bathroom.

  • Grayling: This room is named after the Aluvial Grayling that inhabit the Big Hole River. Valley view of the Ruby Mountain Range with a covered patio, two queen-sized beds and private bathroom.

Sample itinerary: 5 nights lodging/4 fishing days

Day 1: Arrive to Montana

Leave Home on a morning flight arriving to Bozeman or Butte in the afternoon. Meet a lodge representative or get your rental car for the 90/60 minute drive to Healing Waters Lodge.

After settling in your guide will assist you getting your tackle ready for the next day's fishing. Later Join your group and other lodge guests for cocktails and Dinner.

Guides will let you know the fishing plan the day before.

Days 2 - 5: Four full days fly fishing the best waters of Montana from Healing Waters lodge.

The typical day is as follows: After an early breakfast served (between 7:30 to 8:30 ) you will meet your fishing partner and guide outside your room after breakfast and depart for the day.

The variety and amount of water available from Healing Waters lodges allows you to float & wade-fish several beats of Blue ribbon streams such as the Jefferson, Breaverhead, Big Hole and the Madison.

You will also be able to wade-fish several smaller streams or spring creeks flowing through beautiful private ranches.

Each day's program will depend on local conditions and your preference.

Lunch is typically served stream-side after a morning's fishing session. Next you will continue fishing into the late evening.

Guests typically return to the lodge for Cocktails and Dinner around 6 PM.

Day 6: Depart Lodge

After breakfast and getting organized, a lodge vehicle will drive you back to the airport on time for your flight home.

Rates Include:

Lodging, meals, guided fly fishing, complimentary beer and wine, loaner fly-fishing equipment, laundry service, all terminal tackle such as flies, leaders and indicators and hospitality staff gratuities.

Not included:

Montana Fishing license, guide gratuities, private water fishing fees, airfare and vehicle rental, airport shuttle transportation, lodge airport shuttles can be arranged for an additional charge, trip cancellation insurance, travel insurance, incurred medical expense, any item not specifically mentioned as included.

Policies

  • Deposit Policy: 50% of the total package price is required within ten days of making your reservations. The balance is due 10 days before arrival date. Lodge extras or store purchases are due at the completion of your lodging and fishing trip.

  • Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your trip, a full refund will be issued if notice of the cancellation is provided at least 120 days prior to your lodging and fishing dates.

  • Wireless Internet Access: Healing Waters Lodge has wireless internet in every room and throughout the facility.

    Smoking Policy: Healing Waters Lodge is a non-smoking facility and smoking is not permitted indoors or in lodge vehicles. If you smoke, we ask that you do so outside and away from doorways, windows, and non-smoking guests or staff.

  • Special Health or Physical Accommodations: Please communicate any health or physical needs or restrictions prior to arrival so that we can make preparations and accommodate your needs, such as as ground-floor rooms, walk-in showers; special food requests, allergies and/or restrictions; float/wade preferences on the water; equipment needs, etc.
